Sakarya University School of Health Sciences
was founded in 15.anuary.1997 and maintained its education until Agust 1999
earthquake, in former location, adjacent to government hospital.
Cources were placed temporary in the most
appropriate location in Faculty of Economics building in campus after
earthquake.
By the beginning of 2000-2001 academic year,
the school of Health Sciences started teaching in its own new building which
was constructed by Siemens company for School of Health Sciences in campus.
The school has well – equipment six classes
in practical subject, a room in the clinical practice of nursing and maternity
as science lavatories, a technical room for clinical studies, and offices for
academic and other staff. The curriculum emphasizes the nursing and midwifery
process, problem – based learning, and integration of theoretical and clinic
studies.
Both programs combine a rigorous academic
curriculum.
Clinical experience is provided respectively
of the Maternity Hospital as well as several other hospitals(government, social
security and Toyotasa) and clinics in Adapazarı region.In addition the nature
of the student-patient relationship is examined in relation to learning to their
clinical practice, and to enhance thier knowledge of research methodologies on
health care.
